What is the exact dimension of this timber?

Material is milled @ approximately 5.75" x 5.75" x 8'. There can be a +/-, depending on how freshly treated the material is. (Our water based treatment can cause the wood cells to expand a little & dry weather will cause wood to shrink a little.) Good luck with your project.

The lumber was straight with few knots. I still have to fill the planter box and of course add flowers. Notice that the sides are Trex that slip into slots that I dadoed in the 6x6's. I added shower pan vinyl to the insides to prevent "bleeding" and drainage through the sides. The cables tension the sides together to prevent side swelling as the soil settles.

I was able to find true 6" x 6" pressure treated timber to build a landscape edge/wall between my neighbors yard and mine. These worked great and look even better. I leveled out the area, added in crushed concrete gravel for a base and then staked these in with 3' rebar. This edge/wall is rock solid and I capped it with 2" x 6" pressure treated for a finished/layered look. Home Depot was once again a one stop shop for a great weekend project.

The timbers were straight and mostly without diminishing cracks. They are going to be used to outline my drive way which I am redefining in front of my house. The red color matches closely with that of the brick in the archway's lining the front.

Solid and straight with no cracked or bark edges. Still heavy from PT solution, so I drove several 3-1/2" screws into entire length so it would not warp during drying. That worked perfectly to keep it straight.

Had to return 11 post out of 33. Many with one good end that could still be used. The 11 had bad corners and split end with cracks up the post. The 22 we kept are useable, but are not quality wood.
