Material is milled @ approximately 5.75" x 5.75" x 8'. There can be a +/-, depending on how freshly treated the material is. (Our water based treatment can cause the wood cells to expand a little & dry weather will cause wood to shrink a little.) Good luck with your project.

Yes as long as you stake them. If this is a retaining wall situation, then you would need to add in deadman into the hill.
