i have had my Land N see oil Extractor for over one year now . And i love mine. Just like any oil extractor. You should start your motor and let the motor oil warm up before you try to extract the oil.. You should do that all the time when your changing your oil . I am a mobile small engine mechanic . So i am very rough with my tools.my help "me" just throw the tools on back of the truck and not strap the in.. I know if i just put a little care this oil Extractor will last a lot longer for me. I also tried other brands of oil extractor. And because for the cost, i will go back and buy this brand again. o yea.i for got to say , there is a lot less mess this this oil extractor . because i am not dumping my oil is a oil pan then back in the oil container. Just Extract the oil , fill the oil back in the motor. then put the oil oil back in the container i bought the oil in. one less step. and no oil pan to deal with. i did not get this oi extractor free, i bought it, just want you guys and gals know how to use the tool .. thanks. i hope this help you out.

I tried to pump out my V6 Mercruiser Marine Engine Oil through the Dip Stick ( As Recommend). This pump COULD NOT create enough Vacumn to pull the oil up from the Engine Oil Pan and through the Dip Stick. I tried both Engine at 85 Degrees and warmed Engine Oil up to 150 Degrees - No Go

The pump is small, so it takes forever. Took me over an hour to pump out about 1.25 quarts. It was also very finicky, creating a vacuum sometimes and other times forcing me to adjust the tube until it would form a seal. The pump also comes out very easily from the tank because it's not screwed in, just stuck in. The picture is a little misleading. Mine came with a second slightly larger black tube (instead of the clear one in the picture), but it didn't match the smaller black tube in the picture nor the pump itself.
