A: If the surface is smooth to semi-rough, this nap size will be fine. However please not that if your exterior surface is traditional siding, the roller will leave gaps in coverage where the siding overlaps. This is due to the increased depth. A more effective way to paint that type of material is a mini roller and trim brush. Many mini rollers are almost exactly the width of the siding boards. Thanks,
A: Much of that will depend on the surface and the type and sheen of paint that you are using. however I would recommend using a 9 inch roller rather than the 18 inch here, as they are much easier to use especially for a beginning painter. If you are using a higher sheen paint like a semi gloss, this white woven fabric would be ideal. If you are using a low to mid sheen paint, the microfiber fabric would be the better option. thanks,
A: The end caps that fit the Purdy frame are different, but as long as you have those you will be fine. Just take out the end caps that come with this roller cover and replace with the Purdy end caps. Thanks,
A: They will all work, it depends on the texture of the wall.
A: Not sure used this one before for semi gloss great quality
A: If you are painting smooth surfaces, a white woven or microfiber in a 3/8in nap would be a great choice. Rinse the cover and spin dry before using the first time to help the roller cover deliver the most paint and the cleanest finish. Thanks,
A: Using semi gloss with a roller is tuff to do, if you need some type of protection use satin.
