Can I take the breaker out and replace it? it seems to be permanently installed. I think I can put a new one above but it cost more this way!

Answer This Question

The breaker included with the spa panel is not permanently installed and can be replaced. It is a 2-pole 50 amp GFCI breaker. Replacing just the breaker might be more expensive than buying a whole new spa panel. Several users have noted this in the existing Q&A.

The breaker tripped and I could not reset it. Anyone know how? Also it is hard to take out (for replacement). Is there a locking mechanism?

Does a Type A hub fit the opening on top? It would be nice if the specifications listed the hub type.

Where or what can I get for a replacement breaker for this box? The GE 50 Amp GFCI breaker is not available anywhere. Will another brand fit this box? Thank you in advance.

It's a hot tub breaker box. What more needs to be said? I would have rated it 5 stars, but the tab to secure the door wasn't attached securely during manufacture, it broke off during installation. If it becomes an issue I'll drill it and secure it with a bolt. Aside from that it's fine.
