Easy with great results
You'd never know I "cheated" by using this for our backsplash! It was fairly easy to put up and held my tiles just fine. The tiles can't usually be moved even a smidge once you place them so you have to be more careful than with thinset. If you can handle that then this is totally worth it.

THE WORST PRODUCT AND SUCH A HASSLE TO REMOVE
We purchased this product to make installing a backsplash in our kitchen easier. My husband has done many home projects and followed all directions. He installed all of the peel and stick paper for our entire kitchen. He then placed one practice set of tile up on the wall and the next morning it had fallen off! He tried again and within hours the tile was laying on our counter and not attached at ALL! Now 3 weeks later we are still trying to remove the sticky paper from our walls so that we can go back and use traditional mortar to install the tile. We have wasted so much time and money on this product and are beyond frustrated. Hours spent removing the sticky paper from our walls has been so exhausting and our project should have been done weeks ago. AWFUL PRODUCT!!

Product is easy to install, but it did not hold the glass tile mosaic permanently. 12"x18" mosaic...
Product is easy to install, but it did not hold the glass tile mosaic permanently. 12"x18" mosaic sheets fell off the wall overnight. I believe this would be adequate for smaller subway tiles, but it did not hold the heavier mosaic. We had to scrape the product off the wall and use traditional thinset.

This adhesive works very well. We applied about a 12 by 12 sheet of small tiles to the adhesive. We couldn't be happier with how the project turned out. The tiles are not coming down!

Since I only had a small area that I wanted to tile, I didn't want to get a package of regular thinset and then have a lot leftover for who knows how long. The Instant Thinset Mortar Mastic Adhesive was very easy to put on. However, if your tiles are also self adhesive you should be extra careful in placing the tile because once down you won't be able to move it without making a mess if you need to reset it.
