You need a drill and a specific drill bit that is the right size for this item. The size of the drill bit is contained in the instructions for the cage.
BXL - Since the foot bracket will cover the ground plate, it is OK that the anchor is removable.
The cage secures to the ground with a flange on the left and right sides that must be bolted into concrete
Sorry this answer is so delayed. Depending on the size of your unit (and the width/depth you expand to) as long as you install additional top bars to block the size ball you are blocking, it will work.
Nobl4 The security cage expands height, depth, and width to a maximize size of 51"w x 51"d x 59"h. I recommend you measure your Trane condenser and if your unit is smaller than these maximum dimensions, it will work. Thank you.
AC Guard security cages are designed to be installed over exterior condenser units, affixed to a pad or solid surface on the ground. They are not designed for window conditioners.
I agree, I'm a handy man and would buy more of these if I could grab a cage while i'm in the store. If they where smart they would put the cage around the display a/c unit in the store, I would probably sell more air condition units and take 0000 shelf display space. PUT THEM IN THE STORES BY THE HOOD
Not the back ,or the top unless you get the extra top bar . The back should be close to the house though so it can't be pulled out that way
It's adjustable but just down to like 35 x35 I believe.
