AnswersThat depends on the load. It is the current or amps that determine wire size. If you know what your wattage is such as a 100 watt light bulb or in this case a 6500 watt car charger, divide that by 240 (the voltage) = 27 amps. Voltage drop: 3.39 over 100 feet at 27 amps Voltage drop percentage: 1.41% (max is about 5%) Voltage at the end: 236.61 This would be acceptable. Google Voltage drop and use the various voltage drop calculators available.
Will this work with a 50amp aoutlet/breaker

AnswerHi Corey, Yes, this extension cord is build for 50 Amp 6-50 Welder. I think you mean you welder has 6-50 50Amp Plug. Actually, welder works from 15~50Amp. the difference is the performance.
