Hi Newsvendor, Yes! you can called that. Adapters are means for temporary use solution like extension cords. We do highly recommend use unplug while not in use. A lot of machine come with plug of NEMA 5-20 plug because peak power use more than 15Amp and the Peak power usually during the machine just turn on. Running power or Average power is really the usage of equipment which can be lower than 15Amp. Moreover, in order to trip break also time and amount related as well. For example, 15Amp breaker will not trip right away when it is using 15Amp consistent. It takes 5~10 mins to trip. 15Amp breaker will trip faster while current is higher than 18Amp or more...
