Item is good for the amount spent. The metal is easily scratched (be careful) when connecting the metal sheathing to the inner extension piece. Lower portion of unit not level due to metal construction. Fingerprints will show. Read directions on how to clean. Works, looks nice even though it's flawed and it was in my price. I will probable upgrade in a year or so to a higher quality.

The clock is set off weirdly so we cannot see...
The clock is set off weirdly so we cannot see the last number of the time but it is doing its job to give light over our stove and pull off our cooking smells.

Time intensive. Shrink wrap stuck in chimney.
First off it looks absolutely beautiful. Seems to work well. I h I have no attic because the upstairs is separated by rafters. Existing 7" vent.
I had zero confidence installing with drywall support so we needed to open up the ceiling to add wood support and add a 7" to 6" adaptor (not included) to the vent.
Pretty easy after that shrink wrap was a fiasco I still have unsightly wrap in the seam of the chimney. How canI get this out?? Better instructions needed. Better videos support.

Cool looking Island Mount Range Hood
We purchased this in November 2021, finally had it installed May 2022.
The profile of the Island Mount Range Hood suits our open concept home.
As we begin using the range hood I will add additional comments, but so far the installation was easy and straight forward, a bit of challenge to run through roof, however, the contractor was able to make the necessary adjustments to install.
The fans speeds and noise seem to be acceptable, feature are exactly what we were looking for.

Streamlined looks; efficient (& relatively quiet) blower; decent price, if durability holds.
Our HVAC company crew of 3 had installed this unit previously but newbies might have trouble.
It's heavy, so bring muscle. Generic brochure. Plastic takes ages to peel off.

The first one I ordered had a smashed control panel but 2nd one was good. Installation was easy and the unit looks really sleek. I installed the 36” model in an island over a 30” gas range.

Looks good. Built-in lights are dim and bluish, so not very helpful. Fan is noisy on high, but typical for hoods at this price range. Vent can be cut as short as 12” if you’re handy with tools. This same hood is sold under other names (by name-brand appliance manufacturers) at much higher prices.
