For our installation, yes. The gas supply to our fireplace has a "T" handle that turns the gas supply to the fireplace off. The flame height can be adjusted by adjusting the gas supply.
We installed the unit in November 2020. It puts off ALOT of heat. We are actually trying to find a way to adjust the flame so we can lower the output after a while.
Set logs to avoid flame from contacting logs , that produces soot.
Yes. The kit comes with a flue damper stop clamp which prevents the flue damper from being closed completely. It will allow any Carbon Monoxide gases from the pilot to vent properly.
It can be used with propane, but the kit does not include a conversion kit. The control cannot be relocated to the left side as it would cause the pilot and igniter to be inverted. If your gas inlet is on the left side of your fireplace, you will have to purchase a longer gas flex line to reach the right side connection.
Thank you for your interest in this product. As you have indicated, your gas supply is on the left. In order to connect to the gas log burner, you may need to purchase a longer gas line from Home Depot, along with a connector, allowing you to connect the two gas lines together. Please contact the technical number provided should you need further assistance.
Thank you for your interest in this product. This log set would not work well in your double-sided fireplace as there are no logs on the back side.
Each of our gas log sets come complete with an installation document as required by industry standard. The unit will also come with a log placement sheet so that you can safely set up your gas logs.
