Much needed water softner

Works very well and low maintenance
Installed it myself, including the filter, and it went together pretty quickly. Did have to change some copper pipe to get the filter and shutoffs/bypass valves setup as per recommendations from the manual. The operation of the unit was very straight forward, and after almost 6 months, it has worked flawlessly. Maintenance has been simple, just add a couple bags of salt every 3 months or so (this is for the 64,000 grain unit supporting a family of 7). Very happy with the product.

Aquasure Harmony 64000 grain Water Softener with Carbon Filter Installation using 1" PEX
Here's about 120 snapshots of the 9 hour process to install an Aquasure Harmony 64000 grain Water Softener with Carbon Filter using 1 inch PEX.

I included plenty of measurements because I could not find enough for myself on the Internet.
I chose a little bigger capacity than my house needs for a long time between regeneration cycles.
The carbon filter is highly desirable to make the resin last a long time. Nice product combination.
My new home was pre-plumbed with 1 inch PEX, but I did not know which end was IN or OUT.
I never used PEX before, but it seems very good, I did 40 one-inch PEX crimps with no re-dos.
It was not a one-hand crimper for me, and very hard in some positions to get the LED to light.
The Auqasure instructions were very good, and I used as many wraps of teflon tape as I could:
Just 10, not all 12 wraps on the plastic male threads; Exactly 6 on the brass male threads.
For fear of cross-threading the plastic connections, I inspected them very many times.
A tiny transparent tube of grease was in fact included in the kit, in with the extra O-rings.
I just enjoyed my first hot bath with soft water, and cannot wait to try all my water appliances.

Had it professionally installed and saw a change in water...
Had it professionally installed and saw a change in water hardness immediately. Totally satisfied, just remember to buy salt to fill the tank up. It uses salt based on water usage. Also you need an outlet nearby to run the electronics.

Seems fine but controller wont keep time
The systems seems to work fine but the controller continually has to have the time reset or it will randomly cycle the system. Seriously annoying and questionable on quality of components
