Q:A professional just installed my system, but the install looks different from the pictures that are on your website. On my picture the small filter is in between the big tanks, and on your websites its on the side. Is this ok?

Answer This Question

A:  We would suggest reaching out to our customer support with a couple of images of the installation so we can assist you further. However, the order of the system placement should be Fortitude whole house pleated sediment filter, Fortitude mix media water treatment tank, Harmony whole house water softener, and Premier Reverse Osmosis drinking water system. If you have the Foritude whole house pleated sediment filter installed in between the Foritutde Mix Media Tank and Water softener. The sequence would be incorrect.

    A:  The system is not designed to remove iron in the water. If you have a moderate amount of iron in your water, we would recommend looking into our AS-SE1500FM which is designed for well-water homes however, if you have severe iron issues in your water. A dedicated iron removal system will be needed.

      Q:Is this a dual tank system? Where it switches from one tank to the other and uses clean water from the new tank to clean the old one?

      A:  No, this is not a dual tank water softener. The first large tank is a whole house water treatment tank, that helps removes chemicals, taste, odors, and various other contaminants in the water for the whole house. The second large tank is the water softener resin tank, and is design to softened the water for the whole house.

        Q:If I do not have a floor drain in the basement where it would be installed can the unit pump water to upstairs drain?

        A:  We would recommend consulting a licensed plumber for installation related concern as each install can be unique. However, the drain water are pressure fed throught the drain until the system stop regeneration, it does allow some vertical travel for the drain line to connect to a drain above the system.

          Good price and quality so far. However, the instructions can be somewhat confusing. System will arrive with a default 1" fittings. You either have to request 3/4" or purchase them separately. No options at check out. Do your research prior purchasing.

          Not as pictured
          Bought two of these to put them in parallel. On both, even with the plastic NPT couplers and thread sealant, the filter was leaking profoundly. The filter is not as pictured, and now — because I already installed it — I can't return it. Thousands of dollars and days of time wasted. Not recommended, of course.
