Q:I need to know if at least 2 of the bolt holes on each flange line-up vertically. I want to mount the bar horizontally to the studs behind 1/2" drywall. The picture with the specifications does not help to answer my query.

A: Our ARISTA grab bars have 5 holes for mounting but only 2 are needed for integrity of bar. The 5 holes are spread evenly apart on flange allowing vertical line up of holes. Bar needs to be mounted to studs or can be mounted to drywall with a hollow wall mount bracket (sold seperately at your local hardware store).

Q:What is the diameter of the screw holes in the flanges? Will they accommodate 1/4”-dia. lag screws?

A: The screw holes in the flanges on the ARISTA 42 in. x 1-1/2 in. Concealed Screw Grab Bar are 1/4" diameter and should be able to accommodate using a 1/4" diameter lag screw.

Our contractor installed this grab bar in our new Mustee Durawall shower stall. He put it on the wall opposite of the shower head at an angle. Before putting up the walls of the shower, we discussed the exact location for the grab bar and he put the extra wood stud in place behind the wall. This grab bar is perfect for this application. Very pleased.

siple stong easy to install. I installed it into studs of course. the screws that come with it are stainless steel and iron to striping your may want to use some of your own or have back ups.

Look great. I like the slope shouldered escutcheon and the color is light, not a dark industrial looking blued stainless. Installed by others. I elected to open the walls and add wood behind the attachment points where drywall anchors would have been used otherwise. So they are very solid.
