It will fit under or on top of cushions and provides a handle to use to safely raise from or lower to any seated position safely. The Universal Stand Assist is a great alternative to expensive lift chairs.

MODIFY HEIGHT, WIDTH, AND DEPTH: The support handles can be adjusted in height from 22 inches to 32 inches from the floor while the legs can be adjusted in height from 14 inches to 21 inches from the floor. The Stand Assist frame also adjusts in width from 19 inches to 26 inches and in depth from 24 inches to 27 inches. By adjusting the aid you can ensure a safe and secure fit on your furniture.
EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL: The Universal Stand Assist is compatible with chairs, sofas, and recliners with either stitched cushions or removable cushions. If your chair cushion is fixed to the chair, place the frame around the cushion. If your chair cushion is removable, slide the frame underneath the cushion. If the bottom of your cushion sits 13" above the ground or less, you will need to place the frame around the seat cushion (regardless of cushion type) to ensure that the support handles can be adjusted to an appropriate height.

A: No, you have to be able to slide the stand under the cushions or some part of the chair. I go for my 91 yr old mom. It would work well in a single lounge chair but if put on a sofa one has to sit between the hand rails....

A: Hi Shellso, The Universal Stand Assist will fit on recliners as long as the foot rest is less than 28" wide. Life Saver

Great features, very study. Just what I needed!

I bought this in October 2020 and I absolutely love it. I have a small apartment and a loveseat. Had a bad accident and I have been having difficulting getting up. I did not want to get a lifting chair because I do not have the room. My daughter saw this and we decided I should try it! I love it. Very sturdy, adjustable. Fits my sleeper sofa couch on top of the cushion (instead of under the cushion) because the couch is so low, but it still looks great, is very functional, and versatile - the legs, handles are all adjustable. I put my wheelchair cushion in between to give me a little more height and comfort (because of the sofa bed being lower than a usual couch only).
