This stuff was great for the purpose. I cut it with tin snips--a long 8 inch strip to cover the roof vent when reroofing the house, because we've had problems with flying squirrels getting in. I also cut many narrower strips that were attached to the eaves where they like to gnaw holes. It's also used to cut and bend one-way exit "doors" around any holes that are discovered. When they try to re-enter, the squirrels get their fur caught on the little prickly cut ends.

Home Depot had the best deal on this 2 foot...
Home Depot had the best deal on this 2 foot wide 1/4” mesh galvanized hardware cloth. I will add protection to my underfloor insulation. It wasn’t in stock but they shipped product to store for pick up.

Cheated Me out of Major Footage!
Hardware cloth itself seems fine, but my 100 ft roll turned out to be LESS THAN 80 FEET. I didn't expect a perfect 100', but that is just ridiculous! Very disappointing, because I had two projects to do and 100' would have been plenty, now I have to buy another roll just to get another 10 feet or so. BUYER BEWARE.
