A: According to the California Dept of Fish and Wildlife, "The best protection against rattlesnakes in the yard is a “rattlesnake proof” fence. The fence should either be solid or with mesh no larger than one-quarter inch. It should be at least three feet high with the bottom buried a few inches in the ground." This is the right spacing of mesh, but you should probably go with the 36-inch height rather than the 24-inch height for a rattlesnake proof fence.
A: I don't think they could chew through it--it's tough stuff.
A: This is a pretty tough mesh. We have rabbits running around and they have not been able to get through it yet.
A: Yes, it should keep rabbits out; I can't imagine them being able to chew through the metal mesh.
A: Product received has 1/4" mesh. (phew!)
A: The specs say 2" mesh. The picture shows 1/4" mesh. One answer from Home Depot says it's 2" mesh. I think it's probably 1/4" but I wouldn't order it since they say it's 2" mesh. (unless they update it.)
A: The small squares are 1/4". The material is 23 gauge.
