Product Details

Active Ventilation Products Round Back vent product line is excellent at venting attic spaces for shingled sloped roofs. The Round Back vent is made of rust free aluminum with an 8 in. Dia opening, inner vertical cylinder wildlife guard and 13 in. x 13 in. square flange. It has a manufactured one piece spun round aluminum vent cap that prevents rain and snow from entering the vent. Its low profile design looks pleasing on shingled roofs. Model RBSF-8-WD is powder coated with an electrostatic charge in weatherwood finish. The powder coating finish adheres extremely well and is more difficult to remove than wet paint which adds to the vents durability and long lasting clean appearance.
  • Removes hot air in the summer and moisture in the winter for year-round attic ventilation
  • Built-in inner Louvers have a 1/8 in. opening that will keep out insects and wildlife while allowing air to move through the vent without resistance
  • Weatherwood powder coating finish is significantly greater at resisting scratching, chipping, and oxidation
  • 1/8th in. opening between the louver blades and all aluminum ("noncombustible") material meets the requirements of California building code 706A.2 vents to resist the intrusion of burning embers and flame through ventilation openings
  • Ventilation rule 1:300: One vent per 200 sq. ft. of attic space
  • Net free air space: 50 sq. in. (0.35 sq. ft.)
  • Pitch capacity: 3/12 to 12/12
  • 2 in. clearance between bottom of vent cap and flange

    A:  Yes, but you might need to make some kind of curb to mount it on, depending on how corrugated the roof is.

      A:  Yes, it can, though you might want to consider going with the mill finish (unfinished) aluminum one if you are going to paint it. Just be sure to clean well with a de-greasing cleaner and use any good quality metal paint

            8 in. Aluminum Round Roof Vent in White
            It is what it is, which is a piece of sheet metal that keep out the rain and bugs, so it says. I installed on an 8' x 8' it seems to work well. It was cooler inside after it was installed. It was relatively easy to install, if you can cut a round hole and screw a screw or pound a nail you can install it.
