Can it be assembled without the 4th shelf? In order to increase height on the bottom/fifth shelf?

AnswersHello, We do not advise removing any of the shelves, it will be up the customer to decide once they have unit in their home. The stability should not be compromised if fourth shelve is removed but again we do not advise to leave shelves out.

AnswersI would not recommend it. The wood 'legs' are not sealed, so moisture and rot may eventually make its way into them. The wood is also not very hard, so indentations are easy to make; not very suitable to surviving the outdoor environment.
How much will the shelves hold? Need for plants in the winter.

AnswersNot much the whole unit isn’t very sturdy. Maybe a few small light weight plants. Don’t get any water on the shelves. They chip and bubble up.

I needed a shelf like this to put my plants on and it works wonderfully! Exactly what I wanted. Easy to assemble although some holes didn’t line up perfectly but nothing really noticeable, and for the price I wasn’t expecting perfection just something to hold a few plants.

I really like this shelf! Its pretty good quality for the price and this is the most reasonable price i’ve seen for a ladder shelf. I’ve seen these range anywhere from $100-$300 and for $50 this is a really good product. It was delivered pretty quick and was pretty easy to put together. It probably only took me about 30 minutes to build. Overall I really like and and recommend it!

Great purchase for its price
Not only is this shelf unit adorable, but I put it together with ease by myself in about 45 minutes. I gave it four stars because some of the pieces of wood don’t line up properly on the two front bars. Some screws were splitting the wood inside you could hear - but no visible issues. For the price, this product is great .. you get what you pay for in quality so I’m not disappointed. It’s exactly what I was looking for & I love it!

The shelf itself is lovely, exactly the aesthetic I wanted and easy to put together. Only complaint is that one of the long side support connections had a knot right on the end, meaning when I screwed it into the other piece the torque created cracked the wood across the knot. I guess you get what you pay for, but it would’ve been easy to just cut the piece elsewhere. I epoxied it to hold in the meantime and it’s been working fine. Not super sturdy when placed on carpet though.

I had to give this product one star because zero...
I had to give this product one star because zero isn't an option. My sets came with warped supports.
Buy extra, combine the good pieces and return the warped junk that's left over. We purchased two kits and couldn't get a bookcase built out of the two boxes. Very poor material quality.
