Questions & Answers

Are there little holes along the tubing to let water out

Asked by: Jam
if you are using perforated tubing then there are holes but it is so the water drains up. you will have to have 3/4 inch rock on the bottom and on top for water to drain into the holes. Plus a type of fabric to cover your pipe.(if you are using perforated tubing)

Can this be run under a driveway? If so at what depth should it be buried.
Asked by: DIY
Yes, but it must be supported in some way so it will not crush. Or at least 12" deep (depending on soil or gravel type over it). Best to lay 1/2 (single hole type) cinder blocks spaced so water can run between and through it.

How come there are perforations on all sides? how will the water flow if there are perforations on the bottom of the pipe? Also does it need to be pitched like home drains, 1/4 inch per foot?
Asked by: killerdolphin
it should be pitched. also the perforated tubing are designed for the water to drain up and into the pipe and then carried on its way. a great place to see examples if from Chuck at Apple Drains on Y-tube
