Product Details

Advaning's PA series adds a modern-tech look towards the exterior of your home or business. Fixed awnings with transparent polycarbonate materials and Aluminum brackets enhance the exterior aesthetics while providing protection from UV and shelter from precipitation. The PA series' solid polycarbonate canopy panel is made from 100% Bayer virgin raw material. Many brands use lesser grade recycled materials that often have impurities mixed in. Beware of polycarbonate panels that are not solid but actually hollow. Cutting such corners short-changes you with products that do not stand up to the elements for long. In addition to being weaker, hollow spaces are gathering points for mold and dust. Advaning takes pride in its product lines, ensuring that customers get solid panels of pure material from the source to protect the windows and doorways of each installation. The panels are clear, safe, clean and attach to their frames with an EPDM grade rubber seal that omits moisture penetration.

I understand you want to mount the PA Series polycarbonate awning to a frame structure, and am happy to confirm that this product can be mounted to any wooden, solid masonry or metal structure that allows for a 3.5" securing lag or expansion bolt. Metal structures will require that you obtain specialty hardware to properly and safely complete the installation. We highly recommend reviewing our installation guides, and downloadable owners manual via our website.           The contractor installed it easily, and liked it a lot too! He is recc it to another client. It is sturdy and we've had lots of storms and high winds in the weeks since it went up, with no problems. It is so unobtrusive that I didn't notice it at first when it went up over our back door. The light pours through and the rain doesn't; perfect! The cost is very reasonable, and the quality better than I expected. And it's not dirty either, as I thought it might get bird and leaf dirt. Seems to stay clean rather well. I HIGHLY recommend this awning!!

            Installed today. Very pleased with product. A tip for others. Used styrofoam shipping protective sheet as a template to mark and locate the places to drill holes on side of house. Since it is the same size of awning, it worked well.

            "MUST READ" PRIOR TO PURCHASING
            I wish I had been made aware of this fact. However, I understand for marketing purposes why Advaning does not make this known in the above descriptions or video installation. They could possibility lose sales. I am referring to the "type" wall surface that the Advaning PN Series Solid Polycarbonate Sheet Door Awning will be installed upon. In my case, my exterior home wall is "stucco". Stucco is a very "uneven" surface. The "rear bar" of the awning is very "straight". NOTE: You cannot mount this Advaning awning on a stucco surface successfully. To successfully install the awning, I had to purchase an angle grinder and a masonry cutting disc. Then grind a channel into the stucco exactly where the rear bar would press into the wall. This took two practice mounting of the awing to check the channel depth. In other words,.... the type of wall you have is IMPORTANT!!!
