Will the sealant work on damp concrete, after being cleaned?

Asked by Ron July 2, 2020

Hi Ron- The butyl does not adhere well to damp surfaces. It's best to allow the surface to dry out completely before the application to ensure a strong seal.

Is the riser height trimmable? Or do you have a shorter height riser?

Asked by John April 15, 2019

Our AS-R07 is the shortest riser kit we offer. This is the shortest possible height while still accommodating our secondary safety barrier. Unfortunately, the height is not adjustable beyond the predesignated kits.

My tank cover is 30 inches in diameter. What size riser kit do I need

Asked by Bob June 20, 2018
1
Answer

Hi Bob, You would need to shrink down the opening size slightly in order for our riser kits to properly adapt to the tank. Our base flange is approximately 29 5/8" squared with a 22.5" circular opening for the pipe. You'd want to get the opening closer to 24" circular. Aero-Stream, LLC www.aero-stream.com (877)254-7093

Do generally need two of these for a standard septic bed?

Asked by Bill June 13, 2018
1
Answer

Hi Bill, Our Aero-Stream Riser kits are designed for the septic tank. A riser is installed onto the septic tank to bring the access up to ground level. The required number of risers would depend on the number of existing clean outs or access ports on your current tank. Aero-Stream, LLC www.Aero-Stream.com (877)-254-7093

perfect!
Order came on time. Unit was easy to assemble and built very stout. There was just enough of the sealing gasket to fit the outside edge of the base as needed for my application. Make sure you drill the right sized hole in your cement septic! I grabbed the wrong size bit and caused my self more work. No more having to dig down to the septic lid ever again!

It was more than what I expected. I just needed a cover for my cesspool. I didn´t know I was purchasing a manlhole cover. It did the job marvelously, although it was a little more work than I expected. (I had to do a lot of digging and a little cement work to prepare.)

The hardest part of installation was getting the old lids and dirt off the top of the tanks. Once that was finished, we unboxed, assembled and installed all three riser kits in under a couple hours. Once we covered the tanks back up and smoothed our the finished dirt, it looked really nice. Sure, grass would be better but this is August in Texas. Maybe by winter break.

This Riser was as easy to install as it was described. The only hard part was digging the hole. I kept the top at ground level, this is the reason I only need the 7" riser.
