It has reduced the static in the air in the room I placed it in after the second day.
Only use tap water if you are confident that your water softener is top notch. You will notice pretty quickly if your water is not ideal for the unit - a white fog/haze will appear after a couple of hours and will settle like dust on your belongings. This means that you want to use filtered water. We refill gallons at the grocery store - it's a hassle, but worth it - the sediments that hard water leaves behind can cause bacteria to grow and make your cleaning experience extremely challenging.
It does not have a night light. The LED display can be turned off so that it doesn’t illuminate or disrupt a dark room. I let it run all night while sleeping, it does have a delay start feature and an auto off button - that you can set to turn off in hour increments. I’ve had this two years and I love it! Hope this helps :)
yes. I have observed that.
Yes, ours sits on the brick fireplace without a plate. It has not leaked yet and we have had it over a year.
Yes. This is a very good machine a will work in large rooms. My only issue with it is that it is hard to reach some parts in order to clean.
I’ve never had a problem with mine. Only thing I could suggest is to clean it (if you have been using it regularly).
It is very easy. There is the base and water tank. You flip the water tank over where there is a big screw like stopper you unscrew and fill the water tank with water.
You can put a towel drying mat under it. I put mine on a wooden table and it did just fine.
