Q:Are there any issues with plugging the power adapter into a covered outdoor surface mounted outlet box (Arlington)? It looks a bit large to fit completely inside the box to retain its UL outdoor use rating.

A: No remote. You have to manually plug it in. We have ours on a timer. Make sure it always has water.

A: No, there is no remote. I have mine hooked up to a timer, so it doesn't run late at night to early morning.

Nice fountain at a good price.

I like this water fountain very much. I looks pretty realistic, and matches the live oak tree trunk that it is next to. Easy to set up, but be aware that it requires two outlets, (or an extension cord with a splitter on the end). There are separate plugs for the pump and the LED lights. I wish they were wired as one plug. The only negatives I have are: 1. The LED lights are pretty bight and are a white light. I wish they were were dimmer and a warmer color. It would be nice if they were only on at night. 2. The water reservoir is pretty small and requires filling every day during a Texas summer! It would also be nice to have a screen where the water returns to the reservoir to prevent bugs and debris from getting in the reservoir.

Tranquil and serene.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fountain is really beautiful and would be a great addition to to someone’s house, office or even in a business waiting room. It’s a perfect table top size. So you don’t need to find a large chunk of available floor space to display it. We decided to set ours up on our fireplace mantle and it fits perfectly. It was very easy to set up. Although I did get confused with pump directions that stated to turn the flow down to the lowest setting. I inspected my pump and could not find a flow setting so that might be more specific to a larger model. Other then that this was a breeze to set up. There is a door cover that slides into place to block the opening for the pump. After adding water I simply plugged it in. The led lights are a really nice touch. As the water flows it reflects really nicely on the walls and ceiling. The sound of the water running is also really tranquil. Not too loud to drown everything out but just the right amount of background noise. I might actually end up either moving this into my home office or even my bedroom. The sound and lights would be really great as white noise to lull you too sleep.
