Why is bottom of green part tan, mid section green and top colored?

Asked by pmn9 July 31, 2019

Answer

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our plants. This item is a grafted cactus. Grafted cactus are two completely different separate plants that are cut and stuck together. The two separate plants eventually grow together to make one. The bottom plant (green part) is planted in a soil that is brown/tan and the very top part is the second plant that is brightly colored. Thanks!

Can you plant these outside

Asked by Cat May 22, 2019
1
Answer

Hi Cat, Thank you for your interest in our plants. You can grow these plants outdoors, however, excessive heat or cold may damage/kill them. In addition, the sun may bleach the color from the plants. If you grow the plants in bright indirect sunlight and in a temperate environment the plants should be fine. Thank you!!

The plants are as shown in picture, I'll just suggest better packing of plants because sand was everywhere whrn they arrived. I had to use a toothbrush to remove soil of the pretty colored cactus bulbs. Overall fast shipping and cute plants now in my window.

Shipping was quick and the cacti were packed beautifully and were in pristine condition when I received them. The colors I got were red, orange and yellow. They have added a beautiful pop of color to several succulent planters I have. They were cheaper than I've seen them at most stores, and since shipping was free, they were a bargain.
