Can these plants be grown in full sun ?

Asked by: Don
Hello Don and thank you for your interest in our plants. These plants will do best if planted in areas of filtered light or only minimal amounts of direct sun light.

How often do these plants need to be watered?

Asked by: Helenbea
Cacti should never be watered until the soil is near to-bone-dry. They handle under-watering well, especially in pots indoors. I have a very large cacti collection, and I water all of them once a month. Like another person mentioned, never water them from the top. Sit them in a shallow dish of water (I use one of those plastic trays one buys for under houseplants: Fill this tray as high as you can.) Let them stand in the water for approx. 15 minutes, then lift them out. Never let them sit in water when not watering, or they will rot. Enjoy!

I got a balloon cactus, sunset jade, blue chalk sticks and mammillopisis senilis. The blue chalk stick has died a little each day since I got it 3 weeks ago. I tried cutting the dead bits to save it but I give it another week or so until it is completely gone. The others were fine and are doing well.

They look great on my windowsill and the assortment was well-balanced in colors/textures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations Shipping was really fast and I bought 4 sets since they were randomized and wanted to make sure I'd get a lot of cacti. Out of the 16 plants, none of them were the same. The plants were packaged very nicely, so none were damaged. Also all the plants looked nice and healthy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth It The plants showed up in great condition but a couple were to large for the pots they were in making it a little difficult to transplant. Now all four are in one long planter and are looking great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cacti from Home Depot I bought three cacti from a Home Depot in Fridley, Minnesota. I bought them because they had bright flowers on them. They looked amazing. I didn't/don't know a lot about cacti. However, 6 months later they still have the flowers on them. I had become suspicious about the flowers, but finally googled about cactus flowers. Turns out that I was duped. A real cactus flower will only last a brief time. Stores trick customers into buying cacti by hot gluing straw flowers on. I removed the flowers with a hot knife. However, now I can't get the glue completely off. This isn't good for the cactus and it certainly isn't aesthetically pleasing. I can't believe that Home Depot would sell plants with glue on flowers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These cactus and succulents were more than I expected. I did not know what to expect when I ordered these plants. They can packed so very well and there was no damage to any of them. They are not seedlings, but plants that are hardy, growing and quite beautiful. Thank you for making this such a good experience. I am telling everyone about how great they are.
