It shows the Kennel door on the left side? Has anyone moved it to the right side on the front? I ...

Answer

I think you could assemble it so the door is on the right. Another option is to turn it upside down as top and bottom are identical.

Would I b able to fit 2 large dogs each 60-80lb togethe in there with enough room for both?

Both dogs should physically fit inside the kennel, but they would have less room to move around.

My pit bulls broke the door off the hinges. Are there any replacement parts for the hinges?

Hi DP, unfortunately the Home Depot does not supply replacement parts, Please contact the manufacturer for parts and services. We apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!

Can you connect two of these together?

Asked by Schmalz May 3, 2020

Answers

According to the literature, it can be connected to make a double unit. I only have one Kennel Unit that I use for a raised garden to keep deer & other critters from using my garden as a salad bar. So, I can't specifically answer this question. However, I can say that I'm very satisfied with my enclosure - it was easy to put together (takes 2 people), is sturdy and well made -- definitely keeps the deer out. I regret not creating a double unit since my garden space is currently pretty limited in size. Hope this helps.

If a part broke off from the latch where can I buy a new one

Exact match replacement latches are not sold separately at this time at The Home Depot. We would suggest that you look in the chain link fence department to see if there is a new latch that would meet your needs and secure your pet.

We bought this for a chow mix I got from a family member. He was able to jump our regular fence that is why we bought this. Not even a half hour after putting him in there he was out. I went to put him back in only to find a huge hole in the chain link. I fixed it only for him to do it again. My suggestion is to buy better chain link to go with the frame.

Do not buy
1 star because this thing fell apart in the first, very light, wind storm that we had. It blew over, "roof" kit collapsed, welds busted. I knew it was poorly made when I got it out of the box. Did not expect welds to break within the first 3 weeks. Did not expect to pay nearly $400 for junk. Save yourself the hassle and get a higher quality kennel.

'Kennel' for our cats!
We added this one to our existing similar one. We did it in a few hours, 1 or 2 people can do it. Went well without difficulties. Looks great, very happy!

I built a nice paver pad for this kennel. Set it up on the pad, installed the additional roof kit (sold separately of course). Very first snow fall, the whole thing caved in. Called the manufacture to get parts and advice and they were of no help. Stay away from this kennel and anything else from American Kennel Club.

Kirby,
It is very unfortunate that the weight of the snow was more than the roof could handle. If you are unsatisfied with the item please return it to the home depot store. GilbertandBennett-MAT
It's not husky proof
While the kennel was a great price, the fence itself is of very flimsy gauge, basically muffler hanger wire. The hooks that hold each endpole of the fencing are not nearly deep enough either. I'm sure after many, MANY tries I will eventually make this enclosure husky proof, but for now I'm just going to accept that this dog WILL be sleeping in the couch when I'm not home.

TRUST THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS I thought it would be fine as I planned to take good care of the kennel for the short time we'll need it then resale it to someone else who needs an 'affordable' kennel. It is under cover and on concrete so thought it would be okay. I was thinking about potential 'rust' and not overall quality. We put it together (using zip ties along the way to tighten the fabric as best we could before using the cheap metal ties they give you) without too much effort. The chain link was a drag to unfold and untangle but we got there. Biggest gripe...the chain link 'fabric' is basically that....fabric! The first time we put our 35 lb. 8 month old pup in it she tore a hole in the chain link within the first hour and escaped. The chain link is super cheap and easily bends right out of shape. So we added more zip ties at any potential place where she might try to break free, added 2x4s to the base frame, and a chunk of plywood to cover the now wonky section that she mangled. It looks like a trash heap but we assumed we were now 'good to go'. (The photo is AFTER I straightened it out as best I could) Sooo......about an hour into work this morning I received a text from our neighbor saying that the dog had opened the gate and was out. Apparently we now need to add a bike lock or something to the gate to keep it from opening. Heaven forbid if we need to get her out quickly! Sigh.... I give it two stars because it MAY be okay for tiny dogs. Our dog is evidently part Houdinidoodle....because she keeps doing a disappearing act from this darn kennel!

We purchased it for our lab and she was able to make a hole in the fencing and escape In my opinion its not worth the money for a large dog

Lasted less than 6 months
I bought this less than 6 months ago. The dogs were hardly ever in it, I only used it on the rare occasion a visitor brought a dog over. First off assembly was not very easy. Assembling the frame was the easy part but when it came time to do the chain link I needed help. The piece of chain link provided in my box was crooked and not cut right. I made it work after buying more chain link ties. My dog still escaped the cage. I then had to buy a roll of wire and wiretie each and every piece of chain link touching the metal frame in order to secure it so it could actually serve its purpose. Now six months after the fact my cage is destroyed. Supposedly it is “heavy duty” but could not withstand the elements of mother nature? I am very very dissatisfied with this product that cost me almost $300. Of course it has no warranty. This has been a horrible experience and a huge waste of my hard earned money!

Easy to assemble. Chain link fencing was just messed up in some spots. Wire ties were very hard to use. I’m using it to keep my ducks in during the day and it has worked well so far.

The product was difficult to assemble and not worth the price and the weight. The chain link is easy to manipulate and in less than a month my dogs have escaped several times through holes they have made in the chain link. I have reinforced the chain link with additional wire but my dogs are still able to bite holes in the chain link and even move the gate with their strength. I would not buy again because I don't feel it is a good value.
