Anonymous, It would be according to the color of the flapper. If it is white then the 738921-101.0070A is the correct flush valve. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

My american standard tank is labeled "Standard 4260", American Standard supplied replacement tower with a part # 3175.002-0070A when I had problems several years ago. Is there a replacement valve other than this tower type? It performance has been awful.

What retro fitting can I buy to replace the guts in my AS 6.0 Lpf/1.6 gpf, 4266 toilet? Lack of H20 capacity/flow has backed up my main line twice. Water displacer is too big, reduces water holding capacity.

We have an American Standard toilet in one bathroom that has a 3.5" flapper which was leaking. Removed it but cannot find a replacement. The largest generic is 3.25" but I have not been able to locate a similar part on line. Please advise.

Anonymous, Thanks for the question on the flapper needed for your American Standard toilet. We will need to know the exact model number of your tank in order to assist you in getting the correct replacement. Our model numbers are four digits long and start with the number "2" if you have a one-piece toilet or the number "4" if you have a two-piece toilet. The number will be located on the back inside wall of the tank above the water line. Once you have determined the model number contact us directly and we can assist you in getting a replacement. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

Item was en exact match for our toilet. Item was fairly east to install but should have come with new seals, a bit of an afterthought. The price was great as buying one directly from American standard was $45.00 vs the $20.00 plus shipping from Home Depo. The item should have been packaged better as the box was pretty beat up, contents were still ok though. The delivery time took longer than stated and the package tracking system did not work. Overall, the new part was an excellent value and I recommend this to anyone that needs to fix their flush valve. Just make sure that you also get new tank bowl gaskets as well
