can you adjust the length

david, The length of the chain on the American Standard M962749-0070A can easily be adjusted. The ball at one end can be removed from its slot, and then the chain moved and a different spot can be inserted into the same slot. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

Will this replace the chain assembly for the Champion 4 home toilet? The small piece which 'captures' the end of the chain and attaches to the small triangular piece attached to the top of the flap and I'd rather not replace the whole assembly.

Answer

Kenguil, unfortunately this is not designed for the Champion models. The chain is part of the flush valve and that would need to be ordered. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

I have the Town Square toilet. The chain broke. What part(s) do I need to replace? Just the chain, or more?

the newer chain style was getting stuck once in a while preventing the flap from shutting automatically which can cost lot of money if you don't listen for the water to stop. round ball chain fixed the problem.
