If you cannot locate a 4266 tank, then both the bowl and tank would need to be replaced.     aguy, The only thing I can say is if it is a true beige or tan color it is bone. If it is more of an eggshell color it would be line. We have no way to tell by the model number. I hope this helps. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

    Tank cracked 3 years after installing
    Thought this was a good model. It cracks at the handle leaking all over the floor. I will not buy an American Standard again.

    Tanks cracked for me too.
    After installing toilet about two years ago, the tank cracked in the same spot as many others who have pasted have shown. Definitely a defect, flushes great though but they need to figure out the cracking tank issues. I have over 60 other toilets in rentals and office buildings and have never had one tank issue with any of the different brands/models.

    WARNING -- this model CRACKS !!
    On my second replacement tank. I had to purchase one after first year when first one CRACKED. Big Mistake. Firstly, should've complained to AMERICAN STANDARD, but had no time to deal with the time and hassle. This second one CRACKED again in the same place 2 years later. Now debating if changing tank or just buying a completely different brand might be a better choice. Terrible waste of TIME and waste of MONEY. Definitely, not the standard expected to carry the name "American". Be warned before buying.

    Flushes fine, tank cracked
    I like that it doesn’t use much water to flush and rarely clogs up...but tank cracked. Looking online it looks like it has happened to others...we have had the toilet for more than 5 years I think, but never had a toilet tank crack before. Ordered a new tank but it’s not cheap.

    cracked water tank after a little more than 3 1/2 years!
    Yesterday I walked into the bathroom to notice water all over the floor. After mopping it up, I noticed a crack from almost end end of the water tank. Upon doing research to replace the tank I have noticed that this seems to be common with this model. American Standard - This is absolutely unacceptable. As you can see from the picture purchasing this new in around May 2017 shouldn’t result in this. The tank cover is perfectly fine as is the rest of the toilet.

    Crack thru flush handle
    Just installed this toilet over the past year in a new half bath. Also put one in a new Master Bath. Came home from work the other night and found water on the floor in the half bath. Thought I had water coming from the bottom of the toilet, only to notice a crack thru the flush handle. I took off the lid and it happened to run all the way down thru the handle components on the inside of the tank, back up and over the top and thru the handle on the outside. Not good. Not good at all.

    Installed this toilet and have had no issues for 15 months until we heard a strange sound at 2AM,...
    Installed this toilet and have had no issues for 15 months until we heard a strange sound at 2AM, looked and saw water on the bath floor so turned off water to toilet and saw a vertical crack through the flush handle hole. NOT the tank-to-base fastening bolts, but the flush handle hole. Who keeps their receipt for over a year? If you purchase this toilet, keep your receipt[s], you may need them. Keep trying but difficult to call this company; I'll try for a while then have to order one and pay AGAIN for this tank; be cautious in your purchases of this company's products.

    I would not have bought it but the one I had the 4 year old tank cracked. My plumber told me he see’s a lot of that model with cracked tanks
