I have a Jocelyn 9316. The cable assembly cable does not fit in the small hole of my sink . Other than enlarging the hole in my porcelien sink, can I remove the cable from the faucet? If so how do I do this. I tried but did use too much force..

Answer

emilg, Thanks for the question on the Jocelyn faucet. The speed connect portion of the drain can be removed from the faucet body. You would need to start by unthreading the lift rod, then unscrewing the plastic portion of the speed connect that is attached to the faucet body. It is a reverse thread when you go to remove from the faucet body. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

I have 2 bath sinks that have drain problems. The drain cables seem to be very hard to operate and will not seal the sink drain. I found a tag under the sink(s) that read - Model 4505F Symphony 4" Lavy C set. What parts do I need to order?

Asked by Larrr August 3, 2020

Answer

Larrr, Thanks for the question on the Symphony Faucet. It may be that the stopper only needs to be removed any and debris such as hair or soap scum needs to be removed. If you look at the installation instructions it will show you how to remove the stopper in a speed connect drain. Otherwise contact us directly for assistance. Can I replace an existing old style drain with a speed connect drain and cable? Will the old drain lift knob fit into the speed drain cable?

Asked by MASNash July 23, 2020
1
Answer

MASNash, Thanks for the question on the American Standard speed connect drain. The speed connect drain is threaded into place on the lift rod, so a normal drain could not be used. You would have to use a speed connect drain.; The only other option would be to use a grid drain, but then the lift rod would no longer function. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

I have an American Standard 2 handle bathroom faucet with the quick connect drain. I've adjusted according to on line manual but the drain plug will not completely seat when pulling the drain plug. It needs a push on the drain cap to completely seat.

The stopper in my Williamsburg (#2908222.002F) bath sink broke. I was sent part # M952410-0020A which, when searched for products using this part, does not show the Williamsburg. Will it work? I do not want to hire a plumber to have him tell me "No".

This product makes installing a pop-up drain really easy, even for a non-handyperson. The only drawback is that the reason I needed to make this purchase is that the plastic on the part that came with the faucet originally broke as we were putting it in. As a result, I worry a bit about how this will hold up over time. For now, though, I'm happy to have a nice, working faucet on my sink!
