Q:The speed connect on the faucet has broken and pictures of the replacement cable assembly does not show the details of the connection to see if the replacement will work. How can I get more details on the actual connection to faucet. Warranty cover this?

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
Faucets carry a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser with proof of purchase, as long as it was purchased after June of 1996. The installation instructions that came with the faucet should provide detailed information on the speed connect drain. If you don't have that and aren't able to locate them online, please contact us directly through the American Standard website by clicking on the Contact Us link that is located at the bottom of our home page or by calling in at 1-855-815-0004 M-F 8am-7pm EST.
Sincerely,
Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

Q:I have a Jocelyn 9316. The cable assembly cable does not fit in the small hole of my sink . Other than enlarging the hole in my porcelien sink, can I remove the cable from the faucet? If so how do I do this. I tried but did use too much force..

Answer This Question
A: emilg, Thanks for the question on the Jocelyn faucet. The speed connect portion of the drain can be removed from the faucet body. You would need to start by unthreading the lift rod, then unscrewing the plastic portion of the speed connect that is attached to the faucet body. It is a reverse thread when you go to remove from the faucet body. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

I found out it didn't fit my center drain piece and instead of buying the additional parts, I bought the whole faucet kit from American Standard.

It does the job
This product makes installing a pop-up drain really easy, even for a non-handyperson. The only drawback is that the reason I needed to make this purchase is that the plastic on the part that came with the faucet originally broke as we were putting it in. As a result, I worry a bit about how this will hold up over time. For now, though, I'm happy to have a nice, working faucet on my sink!
