I read all of the reviews about this drain and searched for weeks to find an alternative. I finally gave up because they don't make it easy to find a compatible drain outside of what the tub manufacturer provides and my contractor was no help. So I bit the bullet and bought the deep soak drain. I love the fact that it allows me to get more water in the tub for a deeper soak. The drain cover is not the most attractive I've seen and I knew it was going to be cheap plastic, so I bought it in white and I'm glad I did. You can see it in the attached photo. It blends in with the color of the tub so it is not as noticeable and I didn't want a plastic fake chrome one. I didn't think I would like the push drain but it works really well. My contractor didn't mention that it was difficult to install and we haven't had any leaks after 3 months. So far, so good.

Fantastic with one flaw
The deep soak drain is fantastic, but the pop up assembly is the weakest piece. The rubber gasket that seals the drain, broke. Lucky for me, it was still under warranty and replaced for free. The cost to replace is almost as high as the entire drain.

Functional, but very cheap construction. All plastic. The giant, logo-emblazoned overflow cover cheapens the looks of our otherwise high-quality bathroom remodel.
We bought this to give us more soaking depth in our new tub. It works for that, but if you care about quality and appearance, choose something else.
