Are you asking how far is the tub drain is from the floor? If so, I will say that I don't remember for sure. Put my tubs in 3 1/2 years ago, but best guess is 2".
Lulu, A cast iron tub is very heavy compared to an Americast or Acrylic tub. An acrylic tub will retain heat from the temperature of your water as well as repel any mildew or general bathroom stains. As far as which one is the best, it is a personal preference. I personally have the acrylic style and feel that it is easier to clean than cast iron. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to the American Standard Consumer Connection Team. There is not a template for determining the opening. You would use the tub itself as a reference. If there is anything we can assist you in the future, please feel free to contact us at 1-855-815-0004 Monday – Friday, 8AM – 7PM EST or Saturday 10AM – 4PM and an American Standard Consumer Connection Advisor will be happy to assist you.
I remember the 72x36 being fairly accurate. We installed the hardy backer and tile over the edge for a more finished look. This is really a huge 1 person tub. Lowe’s has a Laurel Mountain Farrell That we used on another remodel and prefer it as a true two person tub if you mount the fixture and tub spout in the center. Good Luck on your project!
Joe, You would need to check with Home Depot regarding any availability. They would be able to check with our retail team. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team
This tub is so spacious . It's deep and I love soaking in it. It does take a lot of water to fill. Runs out my hot water tank to fill it.
Julie99, You can use any product that is not abrasive. Please stay away from Soft Scrub, Scrubbing Bubbles, bleach, Comet, etc. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team
KSR, The bathing well at the bottom or sump of the tub where you would sit is 41-1/4 x 22-1/4 In. Your American Standard Consumer Connections Team.
Agnieszka: No this American Standard Evolution tub does not have legs. There are integral support feet however. If you scroll down to the Info & Guides section you will the link to the product installation instructions which will provide further information on how the tub will be installed.
