AnswersI think its because it doesn't have a water restrictor element or something like that.....you can order it sent to someone in another state and have them send it to you.....it is a beautiful and well constructed fixture. I have no idea why American Standard doesn't modify this model for CA....they would sell oodles of them..

AnswersYes. I had to buy an additional faucet end / adaptor so I could attach my portable dishwasher hose. I interchange the spouts easily so I have the aerator on for hand washing dishes and the notched but open screened adaptor for the dishwasher.

AnswersI live in San Diego. Albeit this is an old question and you have most likely moved on since...I bought this faucet and sent it to family in AZ. They then got it and mailed it to me. It’s how I got it. It was worth it 100%. CA’s restriction rate is 1.8gpm. This faucet has a 2.2gpm rate.

Beautiful retro look

I installed this faucet in my 1940 kitchen into the original blue tile backsplash. It looks beautiful and matches the retro feel of my kitchen with my 1949 G&S gas range. The goose neck makes filling big pots a breeze in my deep double sink and the faucets works smoothly and precisely. Good quality and great look!

This faucet was recommended to go with the sink purchased. I wanted a high, gooseneck faucet for my sink as I own a flower shop and use tall buckets. The faucet is great, turns from side to side, and accommodates extra tall buckets too. I have had zero issues with loose parts nor dripping.

Replaced my old (I'm guessing about 65 years old) wall mount faucet with this unit. Arrived as promised on schedule. The only precaution (and this has nothing to do with the product quality): determine your water supply fixture. This requires a male nipple on the water supply and my supply had a female. Simple trip to the plumbing supply store solved my problem. Looks great. See photo.

Be sure to measure your existing piping and compare to this unit before buying as I purchased for an old house and the plumber told me the measurement was off enough not to fit and had no possible adjustment. Had to use a different one with an adjustment available. It looked great and I wanted the gooseneck but was not to be for me. I can only give two stars since it didn't work for me.

We bought this for an old farmhouse sink in an old house, and it works very well. It was fairly simple to install and actually fits the connectors. The only problem we have with it is that it's a little too large for the size of the sink (proportionally). But we can now fill large pots with water and don't bang glasses on it, so it suits our purposes better than the replacement faucet we bought several years ago.
