Dual sliding doors
We bought and installed the surround and door kit. We love it. Ours is the model with one fixed door. We too struggle with cleaning in the middle but we have worked it out. We are actually very interested in converting it to a dual sliding door. Is that possible? Our bathroom layout causes the closed door to be on the knob side. So i have a pole to turn the water on before we get in. Any suggestions?

Does not fit standard opening - American Standard Cust Svc of no help
Tried to install these doors along with the Ovation tub and tub surround walls in a 60" rough opening. Installed tub with no problems. Installed 1/2" drywall and tub surround (about 1/4" for both pieces resulting in a finished opening of ~58 3/4". Apparently, these doors are designed for a maximum opening of 58 1/4". I have no idea why they design the doors to this spec as I installed the entire Ovation system into a standard 60" rough opening and these doors are too narrow for the finished opening. Customer service (insisting it's an installation issue not a design issue) offered no solution other than recommend I buy marble or other pieces to shim the wall posts out in order to install the doors. Simple math tells you that this is a design issue. Now I have to spend more $ to have custom marble pieces cut to finish this installation. Not happy.

      Very nice unit
I installed one of these on my ovation tub . looks very nice. A couple things could be better though, the hardware is cheap and strips out using hand drivers . stripped 3 of the 4x35mm screws thank god i had some stainless ones left from my demo. also what is to stop the glass doors from hitting the handles and breaking ? A couple pieces of trim molding would be nice becuase its not a case of if it happens but when. Like some of the others said the frame falling apart while assembling was the only real pain.

          Prepare to make modifications
First off, take all the screws that come with the kit and go buy new ones. The ones that come with this kit will break. Secondly, there were scratches in the aluminum because there were burrs that were scratching other pieces. My biggest problem is this door was about a 1/4" too short on each side, even with the adjustable wall pieces pulled as far as they could go. The flanges that actually take a screw are shorter than the ones that don't need a screw which is stupid. If they were the same it would work perfect. Still will look great but not without an easy out and several modifications.

We just had this sliding shower door installed and we love it. Haven't had to clean yet, should be pretty easy, even the tracks the doors slide on. I like the glass doors, and so does my husband!

I thought I was ordering frosted glass which was shown in the pictures only to find out it only comes in clear glass. Tha assembly was a pain in my butt. None of the packages for the screws were labeled. They need to change their picture to the clear glass and not mislead people.

          Dear Sunstarsmoon,

I apologize for the confusion that this picture caused. I have checked into it and this door is only available with clear glass. Home Depot will need to correct their website since this has never been an available option. We also have recently changed the hardware packaging so that each piece is individually labeled.

These doors are great, fairly easy to install, and you will need two people to hold it up during measuring and installation. I am not a professional but these were easy to install. You will need special bits if drilling into ceramic or glass tile, which home depot should have. These look amazing in our bathroom and the curved design matches our Standard tub perfectly. The curved tub adds so much room to the shower. Overall these are great.

The door and frame come flat packed in pieces and requires assembly prior to installation. It's engineered to be as lightweight and flimsy as possible without breaking during the installation, or without being unusable after installation. The assembly is kind of a pain. It'd be really easy to break it while assembling it, I think. Also the fasteners that are used are sort of strange. The heads on some of the screws use a sort of robertson (square drive) head, phillips hybrid, while others use a phillips head. This makes you switch back and forth between tools for no real reason. As a result, the assembly and install is more annoying and frustrating than I would have imagined. It ended up taking me a couple hours longer than I planned. Other than that, the fit and finish of the door is decent and it is functional.
