callieco, Thanks for the question on the American Standard Pivot rod kit. You do need to be careful when threading the nut into place, you should do so with your hand until you can ensure the threading is not cross threaded. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

I believe I also have a Williamsburg faucet.  (Model 2050.200?).  The pivot rod pictured has outside threads.  Mine has inside threads.  All I need is the rod w/nylon ball.  Can I use this part and just reuse the threaded part I already have?

I have an American Standard Williamsburg Centerset Faucet Model Number 2904. Series. I have a parts list and need the M960991-0070A Pivot Rod S/A. This is several years old has the part number changed as all that comes up when I search is 066118-0070A

This particular pivot rod is no longer available through us. You can purchase the drain which will have the pivot rod in it if you would like. The complete drain number would be M953465-0020A.

readers should note that the american standard pivot rod is not generic. if you have an american standard sink, you must have this pivot rod. the ball is smaller then generic type.

The product quality was fine. The problem was the cap had male threads and I needed female. So I had to salvage the old cap. Since the new bearing didn't match the old cap had to use the old bearing too.
