    Q:I am replacing my pivot rod.  The parts that received are the rod, ball, small rubber gasket and another hard plastic piece that looks like it fits over the ball, but I can’t get everything in and screw in the bolt.  How do you assemble.

        A:  Start threading the nut with just your fingers until you are sure that it is not cross-threaded, then use a gripper pad to tighten the nut.

          A:  callieco, Thanks for the question on the American Standard Pivot rod kit. You do need to be careful when threading the nut into place, you should do so with your hand until you can ensure the threading is not cross threaded. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.
