Just what I was looking for. These are the longer seats for some models. The seats that come with stem assembly from Home Depot are the shorter version which would not work for my situation.

These are good replacements for your original American Standard Shower...
These are good replacements for your original American Standard Shower faucet. These are the chrome version. I do like the solid brass replacements instead because they do not get pitted which is usually the source of the leak. These are chrome plated and I needed replacements and these were the only ones available. I do wish that Home Depot would make these a stock item in their stores because I had to order on line and wait for them to be shipped to the store. I did like the free shipping but just had to wait and watch my faucet drip for a few days. I did order extra so next time I will not have to wait for the item to be shipped to the store. I do recommend these seat replacements.

Exact replacement for my American Standard SHOWER faucet - these are the longer version, which in my case worked only in our shower faucets as opposed to the sink faucets. Worked perfect! (obviously install new rubber seals with them)

They fit well. I've seen reviews of them breaking, but didn't have any issue with that. Please remember faucet seats should only ever be hand tight, over tightening will break them

the first one went in ok and worked fine...the second...
the first one went in ok and worked fine...the second one broke during install. hard to imagine how something so simple could break, but it did. it snapped in 2, right where the threads met with the main body. to make things worse the threaded portion dropped down into the water supply line when i withdrew the wrench. so do i leave it there and hope for the best or take it all apart and retrieve the broken portion ?
