Duraform: We are considering Duraform cabinets for our Assisted Living Community in Cody, WY. The product description doesn't talk about chip and scratch resistance. Can you elaborate on the durability of the finish and also the quality of the cabinets for our AL apartments?

Hello, thank you for contacting American Woodmark. Our Duraform cabinetry is known for durability, consistency and affordability. Duraform doors and drawer fronts use foils and coatings bonded to warp-resistant composite wood and mount to cabinets in complementary finishes. Textured finishes add depth by simulating the natural characteristics of woodgrain. This color sample may not represent the exact color of cabinets at the time of delivery to your home. Duraform uses highly technological manufacturing processes to bond foils, vinyl films, and coatings. It has exceptional durability. That being said, it *can* scratch and dent like any other cabinetry. However, we do offer touch-up pens and kits should you ever need one.

The quality of the sample door is stellar, the finish is far better that a previous kitchen cupboard finish. The color is true to on-line color. I intend to use this color in my newly designed island. Very happy with the selection of colors and packaging of the product. High quality, precision made products!

Beautiful. Be mindful.

We love our cabinets. One glitch. When ordering the pull out drawers for a custom depth tall cabinet, make sure the glide hardware corresponds. We ordered a shallower depth but the hardware recd. is standard. Waiting to sip how long replacement will take. As is this moment we can’t use the lower storage space so it sits empty. We hope it’s rectified soon. Other than that we love them and will order from AW again.

American Woodmark

Cabinets are nice, color is beautiful (San Mateo Painted Linen). Interior wood was mixed partical board and plywood. I realize these are not high end cabinets, however the finish work and sloppiness of those that put them together is disappointing. They could have taken their time and measured twice and cut once. (Husband had to make several adjustments as cabinets did not align evenly). Finish work was not cleaned up, the glue was everywhere and the sealed edge’s were not filled in or painted.
