Didn't say anything about not installing them in a medium to hot climate, but they all buckled down into the gutter. Not worth a single cent unless you are looking for something to keep you up on ladder and doing nonsense work! Screen does not allow moderate rainfall to drop in but instead it gushes over the top and down on your head.

A little trimming here and there to make it fit good on the ends or corners. If your gutters front INSIDE edge is not flat you must crimp it down so that the front of the guard will pull onto the top/front section of the gutter. I drill a bunch of small holes in the gutter guard by the front lip to get a little better drainage since there are no holes by the front edge. It does accumulate some debris (leaves, pine needles, shingle granules) but what doesn't get washed away by the wind or rain I just take my handheld blower to it a few times a year and blow off the top of the guard - pretty easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WITH CAVEATS Just finished installing 225'. First be advised that these are only for SEAMLESS spouting. Second, be aware that the lip of the spouting must be level or angling slightly up or they can be difficult to snap into place Third, if your gutter is attached with nails, you will need to ensure that there is sufficient space between the lip of the gutter and the nail to insert the slot of the guard. A robo tool works well for this and for leveling the lip of your gutter edge. Overall, not difficult to install and would likely be easier on newer gutters that haven't been banged up by ladders and roofers. They work.

I thought when I had someone suggest and install them that it would be a savings in money and would work well. It is only a few years later, and my Contractor, as he looked at rotten fascia boards showed me how a LOT of Water is getting into my roof areas because of this type of gutter. Small leaf clutter fell through the top plastic holes and then was trapped in the netting. So, the top would look clean, but a closer look.. especially after we pulled off a few, that the layer of netting then stretched as more small pieces fell through trapping all that small leaf clutter. I thought all I had to do was blow off the clutter that was on top for cleaning and then look here and there to see if anything was inside of the gutters. I was advised to take all of these gutters off and then yearly have regular cleanings. I spent a lot to buy and put these on and now spent half as much to get them off. This is just not a good product in my opinion. I would think that most who put them on their homes do not realize what probably is happening. I know my neighbor had hers done along with mine and also the house across the street done a t the same time with this product. I don't know how I am going to tell her the problem she probably has and she does not have the money to correct this problem. I will be talking with the store Manager I cannot afford this product mistake either.

I installed these several years ago, but found when I went to clean the gutters that they had deteriorated and were literally falling apart in my gutters. No UV protection, I guess. When I went to buy replacements, the current cost was a shock. I'm looking elsewhere. There's no way these are worth more than a dollar. The margin must be huge.

My advice, buy one, try to install it and if you see that it works, buy all you need. I bough mine and cut a piece like it was advised in other comments but I found that the guard does not snap onto my gutter's edge. I don't know why, perhaps my gutters are too old but the plastic edge is really hard to push onto the gutter edge, so, I couldn't snap it in. It's in place and will probably work until the fall winds gets underneath them and blows them onto the land of Oz with Dorothy and Toto. Can't return the product because I damaged it, so, let's wait and see what happens when the wind blows. Oh, yeah, the problem with the glue on the sticker seems to have been solved. The stickers come right of.

Yep - they filtered great -- in fact, they filtered so well that the water couldn't go thru fast enough causing the gutter to overflow in downpours. The gutters weren't full - just blocked by this product. It negated the purpose of having gutters. Within 6 months, my new white gutters were permanently discolored. I still didn't take them down but after a few years they failed in the hot Texas summer sun, and sagged into the gutters near the ends and corners effectively creating gutter dams. Now I've removed the product and getting ready to repaint to cover the stains. In short, this product caused increased gutter maintenance instead of reducing it.

Most of them did not snap in. I would get one side in and the other would pop out. I had used the white Amerimax Gutter Guards before and they seemed to snap more easily. The brown seemed to have a smaller edge to them. I ended up putting screws in them to hold them on. I am hoping that they do shed the leaves. They are well made and the exact size that I needed. All in all I am happy with them, I just wish they would have been easier to install. I would buy them again as they are very inexpensive.
