The gutter is attached to the fascia board which is typically recessed from the roofline of the shingles. Also we sell what is called a gutter apron which the angle of the edge is not 90 degrees which will divert water further out.

You would need to shim out the fascia board in this particular application. The shim would go behind the gutter. We also sell a Fascia Fixer which would also work in this application. Our Part # is T0539.

Hangers!
Good system; don't get cheap on how many hangers you buy/use or else you won't be happy in the long run, especially if you plan on using the gutter guards. That said, this system would be GREAT if the hangers had double the width at the gutter guard clips. The job I just completed was very straight away (literally), no inside or outside corners, and I'm very happy with how it worked for me. Very easy system to work with, clean lines and sturdy, for a vinyl product (not sharp lines like aluminum but a little flexibility actually helped for my project which was an old shed roof car port with no straight lines to work with), but you really need to use the proper amount of hangers +2 ;-).

they work but not the best
they are plastic and they bow, warp and fall apart in the hot florida sun. if you install them the way they show they will leak bad. if you trim the gutter sections to overlap eachother going downstream, screw or rivet and caulk them they will not leak. when they start to warp you can add some screws to tighten it to the fascia board. they do work but i wouldnt recommend them but they do work if on a budget. i will add some pics so people can get an idea of a better way to install

I just installed this today. The Product is good, the directions once you find them are ok but lacking on a few items. The website was good and so was Google! I bought the drip edge since I thought this was a requirement. However my roof had a small drip edge below it. When installing the Gutter Gard you can't use the drip edge supplied. At least with my roof this would not fit. The Gutter Guard has a wide flexible lip that seals against the drip edge to the gutter. My house is in the woods so the Gutter Guard is a must due to the height above the ground for this gutter ( 27') One of the sets of instructions shows the downspout at the end of the gutter. This does not work. I had to put the downspout on internal to the gutter and drilled a hole through the gutter as explained in another set of instructions I found. I will use this product when I add gutters to the front of my house ( non installed there yet). Two People definitely make this job easier! It was simple to put together and feels very strong when installed. As I found out in another post, use more brackets for the Northeast as the downspout could get very heavy with ice and snow. I was very happy to have a dry entrance into my house now with the gutter installed over it with the slight rain we had today.

Installed this system on a two story shed/playhouse over the weekend. Previous owners simply put a plywood roof on the shed that hung over the edges 16 inches all around. Water pouring off the roof was destroying the deck so I had to reverse-install short joists, facing boards and soffits. These vinyl gutters were perfect. One section of gutter on each side with a down spout section did it - so I don't expect any leaks. I'm sure I'd use these for extensive gutter system with lots of joints and bends though.

Gutter Sags And Does Not Look Good
Very easy installation, but after one year, it developed dips where the gutters are joined. The brackets are about one foot from the ends of each of the gutters. The gutters look bad and water stands in the low spots where the gutters are joined. I should have stayed with the aluminum gutters.

Quality control issue with the gutter pieces
In the middle of installing two sections of this gutter, I discovered that there were 18 -20 inches toward the center of these pieces in which the hanging brackets would disconnect. I could feel along the front edge of the gutter and notice that the lip edge where the front of the bracket is attached would be significantly different from the rest of the gutter. The only solution that I could come up with, other than take the entire gutter down, was to hook the front of the bracket back in, by sliding it out of position and then leaving that portion of the gutter without any support bracket. This happened twice in one day. Very frustrating.
