A: Super light!!
A: Lighter than expected. I had one years ago that was much stronger.
A: Yes it was wonderful experience
A: Hardly any VERY LIGHT.
A: 3-5 lbs
A: I believe so particularly if you cut lines in on each side ahead of time.
A: I don't think this will work well.
A: The front edge is not that sharpe, and mine had a little bit of a buckle upward, similar to a hat visor. If you edged the sod with a sharper edging tool/shovel, then used this to carry the sod it would help, handles heavier loads well.
A: Having had a lot of experience with this particular shovel and all sorts of outdoor work, I would recommend you get the steel version of this shovel. Not sure if Home Depot carries it. You will find the edge of the aluminum version curls up too easily with anything other than snow or sand. Hope this helps.
A: I've had mine for a while, and have used it for several things but I do NOT think I would use it for 3/4" gravel. The scoop is not that sturdy and I think you would loose some of the nice edge that makes it great for softer materials like cleaning out firepits etc. Not to mention if you filled it up with 3/4" rock it would be HEAVY. I would recommend something more like a traditional steel shovel. Would take more scoops but I think it would be much more manageable. That is what I use for gravel. Hope this helps.
A: I myself don't use it for rocks but it's good for sand and dirt
A: Not very well, the edge will roll up after some time...great for shoveling snow.
A: Yes it should, it will be heavy if fully loaded.
A: no its aluminum and wouldn't hold up
