Questions & Answers

Can this scraper stay outside?

Asked by: NicoleL
Not recommended. Once it's been used much, the paint on the metal will wear down and the exposed metal could rust if left out in snow or rain. Similarly, the finish on the handle would slowly wear down. Unless a protective oil were applied from time to time, the wood would dry out and also eventually deteriorate. This could take years, of course, but why have to buy a new one when this one--taken care of-- should last for decades?!

Would this tool be better than a flat head shovel for getting mud off the driveway and street?

Would this tool be better than a flat head shovel for getting mud off the driveway and street?
Asked by: Gayla
Only if the mud is dried on, it can loosen it , so it can be picked up easier with a flat head shovel. That’s how I use it. I also can just sweep the left over dirt instead of hosing it down, do to drought situations in our state. I also just bought a very light weight snow removal shovel that is pretty wide. I really like it cause I can use it right after a rainy day and pick up mud faster . I hope this information helps.
