AnswerHi JohnW, Sorry for the late response, this unit can be changed to hardwired with the assistance of an electrician. Please note, that any modification of the range hood will automatically void the warranty.

AnswerThe sones rating is not listed anywhere. Could be because the sound level can change depending on how it is vented, straight up or ninetied out the wall. I can tell you this unit is very quiet, possibly due to the fan housing being made from plastic not sheet metal.

I bought this just over a month ago, was easy to install, it is a little loud on high but not too bad, didn't really care for the lights that came with the unit. I like the overall finish with it set up in the cupboard.
Vent is exactly what I wanted.....hidden away so I can concentrate on looking at beautiful cabine...

The unit was simple to install, but very loud. The motor emits a loud grinding noise. The air noise is tolerable, but not the motor noise. I’ve emailed Ancona support for a resolution.

Installée depuis peu, mais nous l'adorons. Elle fait effectivement du bruit quand les niveaux intermédiaires et maximales sont sélectionnés, mais si vous voulez que cela fonctionne il faut s'y attendre après tout!
