Leaks
I really wish I could write a positive review but this door is junk. For as much as they charge, it shouldn’t leak. The seals between the glass and frame are trash and your door will probably leak when it rains. I advise anyone looking into this door to look at a different brand.

Plastic Frames - becomes brittle
Door frame became brittle and cracked after 2 years. Contacted Andersen the balmes it on external force like hail storm or someone stepped on it. Disgusted by their assumptions.

I believe this series has a design flaw.
Think twice before buying this model: the top edge of the door (actually the screen window panel) rubs against the drip rail unless you put a spacer between the drip rail and hinge rail. In my case, I used washers (see picture). My door frame is pretty square, and I followed Anderson customer service instructions in trying a variety of install tweaks. I think this is a design flaw: the design doesn't incorporate the extra vertical clearance needed for the screen window panel.

BEWARE: Door has multiple leaks during first rain
Door is not high-quality at all for the price, during the first rain within 2 weeks of purchase I saw puddles of water on the threshold. Door cannot repel any water, and in fact, seems designed to attract it. Don’t know if they forgot to manufacture the rest of the door, but do yourself a favor and get a Larson. you’ve been warned.

Glass Shattered
Lower glass shattered 3 months after install. Heard a noise, checked out the door and glass was shattered. Andersen Customer service would not replace as "Shattered Glass" isn't covered by their warranty. I had to purchase a new glass for it... The whole door felt very cheap. Overall, would not purchase again. Very disappointed.

Love the Door
This door is perfect for my needs. I love the self-storing screen. I also like the foot activated feature to prop the door open. I switched from an iron bar security type storm door, so this is much more open and seems as if there’s no storm door there. Love the weight of this door as well. I got the sandstone and it matches my windows perfectly.

Door looks great, however...
Several areas on the door show light wear/scrapes on the frame of the door. I special ordered an Anderson 3000 door had it installed 6-19-23.
I love the door except that when the upper glass is lowered all the way open, to expose the screen, the glass slides back up about 11". If I open it again all the way it does exactly the same thing. I talked with Anderson and was told this is normal! It seems to have to much tension on an inner spring. Very poorly designed.

Would not buy these again
I purchased two of these doors. We can not use the doors because the doors are so poorly sealed that when you open the door, 20 or more millers come into the house. I don't know if this is a door issue, Home Depot didn't install them properly, or a combination of the two. There is a loose piece on both sides of the window and I can actually put my finger in there. I have also attached two pictures as evidence to the mess that the millers leave on the inside of the door.

Great looking door and best install!
Great looking door! We have installed 3-4 doors over the years and it usually is a major chore. We decided to give it another try with this style and it was by far the easiest install we have done and it looks great! Probably took us about an hour. Very happy with the purchase!
