overpriced defective product.
100 Series Windows. Out of the box, there was more give in the window than seemed normal, but we thought perhaps with installation that would disappear. The installed windows now do not open and close properly. In the open position they stop at a slanted not straight position.
After only a few times opening and closing them an inside piece just fell off exposing the guide which is also loose. Two weeks after contacting Andersen, they have still not contacted us or sent a service person.

Andersen Windows Warranty is Useless!
I had Andersen 100 Series windows installed on my home. After moving into my home , the manufacturer defects on the windows became apparent. They refuse to cover the labor on the repairs because the "initial quality" time period runs out after only 3 months. So, by the time the homeowner moves into the home, the labor portion is already expired! I have improperly installed weep holes, malfunctioning latches, broken balance springs, etc. These windows are the worst. The warranty is garbage! Run away from Andersen windows!!!

When we ordered with the help of the store associate,...
When we ordered with the help of the store associate, the online info showed that the windows met the code for Florida. We emphased that these were going to be installed in Florida. If we had them shipped to Florida the price went way up. So, we had them shipped to Tulsa and we transported them ourselves. When they came however, the box showed they were compatable only for states above Florida. With our time crunch, because they told us they would be in sooner, we had to take them and get them to Florida as we didn't sufficient window coverage. Therefore, we are not disappointed in the windows as much as we are disappointed that the wrong windows were shipped and we knew since it was after the hurricane we had no choice but to take windows that did not meet the standards for the part of the country they would be used. That was a disappointment. Note: origionally they were coming from Dallas and instead they were shipped later from a state up north. The windows we ordered that were compliant for Florida should never have been compromised. That is why we are disappointed.
