Check out the videos - it will make sense of the way the screen and windows work together.
No. If it has the screen portion (which this does) you can not install another closer at the top. There is a label that says not to do that (because the screws may rip into the screen.

An alternative solution would be to change which side the door opens on. So if you have a right handed door now that interferes with your smart lock, you can change it to a left handed storm door. This is usually less desired because you are opening two doors on different sides, but it will work and is a possible solution for you without having to move or change your smart lock.
how do you bring down screen
Yes but the retractable screen, window to window seal allows for flies to pass. Andersen Tech Rep Supervisor looked at the door acknowledged that she could see my concern, and that there was a gap in the door she was looking at, but stated that this was how the door was designed so it is not a flaw and that I would have to figure out how to stop the flies from getting in. She stated the door is an accessory item and as such they make NO CLAIMS as to it satisfactory function.
I do not have the exact weight of the door but I am 58 and it was easy for me to install.
Not really. The frame for the screen overlaps the frame for the glass and the screws for the latch go into both frames. There is also a rivet under the latch making it even more difficult to separate the two frames. It would require quite a bit of modification to make them operate independently.
As is stated if read, NO!
Yes, I believe Home Depot will install the door for you.
