not an easy install
took 2 people with a lot of experience 3 hours to put up. use your own drill bit. they give you an 1/8 bit that walks all over the place and takes forever to get through the metal. one hole I predrilled when in cockeyed without me noticing the bit walking and it cause a bulge on the outside of the door where the screw went in. i think if the screws we a little shirter it could have been avoided. very unfortunate and noticeable. the directions we so-so at best. I see a lot if complaints on the durability of the door but being I just installed I can't comment on that yet. for $300 for a storm door you would think it would have a good life.

Great door, but NOT easy to install
The instructions that come with the door are terrible. Took 2 people over 4 hours to get it installed. The door is nice, but installation is anything but easy with the terribly written instructions.

High Quality, Looks Great
I did not realize how nice and protective this door was when I bought it, I was just looking for a sturdier screen door my dogs wouldn't jump through, haha.
The door comes with ALL the hardware you'll need (I recommend using your own 1/8" drill bit). Instructions are thorough, but I recommend watching a video (the video by "The Fixer" on YouTube was helpful).
I love that you can open the screen easily or hide it away in the frame with a simple handle. Well worth the price!

Easy to install.
The door was pretty easy to put together. Wish they would lable all the trim pieces that would make things much easier. They do provide a 1/8 in drill bit to help with drilling pilot holes but it's really cheap and mine snapped in half on the first hole.
One thing they don't tell you is the door handle counts as a separate install and you will need a 1/2 in and 3/4 in drill bit to install the handle. I used 1/2 in to expand the 3/4 in holes to the proper size.

Don't waste your money
I bought 4 of these doors for our new house in 2017 and after only 4 years two of them were already rotting this past fall. Replaced them with new panels under 10 year panel warranty which was a pain getting them. Then a couple of weeks ago I noticed on one of them the corner of the moveable window frame (came on new 6 month old panel) had come apart exposing the top edge of the glass so I called Andersen. They would not do a thing for me because the original door was purchased in 2017.

We are deeply sorry about the issue with the replacement door. If you purchased the original door in 2017, the storm door panel has a 10 year warranty. However, if the top edge you are referring to is a replaceable part, it has a 1 year warranty. - Charmaine

Perfect
Ship to store in Riverbank CA went perfectly. Door arrived 3 weeks prior to estimated delivery which coincided with other work being done. The directions were a bit difficult to follow as they jumped back and forth in language. Usually have the languages on separate pages. The door is beautiful and matched the trim on my home beautifully.
Love the self storing screen and being able to have the door open even just to let the sunlight in is so refreshing.
The pickup at Home Depot in Riverbank CA was so easy! Less than a 10 minute wait and we all know that we could wait in line at other competitive stores for that long.
All in all, great door, great service from Home Depot, we're all happy.

It will last about 3 years due to design flaws
What you don't see on the product images posted is that there's a U-shaped plastic bottom piece that you install to align the "sweep" at the bottom of the door. Because this is U-shaped, rain water will collect in it over time. The center of the door is pressed wood, so this swells and causes issues with the door that ultimately cause it to fail. If you click on the images, you can see that the side of the door's frame will no longer stay on because the wood at the bottom of the door has warped.

Very nice quality, but not easy to install.
Excellent quality, price and customer service support. Not easy to install, definitely need 2 person to install properly. Read the instruction more than once and watch their video instructions.
Note:
all parts will be inside the box, make sure to unpack everything.
Make sure to measure the width of your door as you might need the vertical spacer.

Door is rotting - can't recommend
I am really disappointed in this product. The door should never have started to rot from the inside out. I had this installed by Home Depot and everything appears to have been done right.
