The door is very well made and anyone with reasonable carpentry skills can easily install it, though two people are required for some of the installation. The frame is solid and heavy duty. All required holes are pre drilled for accurate assembly, and all of the hardware fit perfectly. The built in blinds work easily and are perfect for our southern exposure. I was impressed by the clarity of the instructions and quality of the component construction.

Disappointed with Anderson's Customer Service to say the least - we had the frame from our other ...
Disappointed with Anderson's Customer Service to say the least - we had the frame from our other Anderson sliding doors and purchased these doors as replacement sliders - keeping the original frame. We received the doors (packaged seperately) - and BOTH doors were missing weatherstripping for both the stationary and sliding door. I called Anderson and the "lovely" customer service woman told me it would take approximate 15 days to receive the proper parts. I then asked to speak with her manager.... that is when she decided to expedite them, we got them in 1 day. In this day and age, why would anyone have to wait 15 days for anything, especially when it was through no fault of my own! I should have bought the Chinese manufacturer LIFETIME WARRANTY doors like I wanted - the door guy at Home Depot made me think twice and I ordered American - what a shame. Time to check your roster of employees, Anderson.

Assembly of the frame was not an issue if you pay attention to the instructions which are not the best. They cover all the various door setups so you need to find your model every step. Final install is good
