Q:Will this work for spreading contact cement?
by|Jul 22, 2019
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. This trowel is generally recommended for more viscous material such as thinset mortar or wood flooring adhesives. Typically contact cement is applied with a roller or a brush.(as a film) The Contact cement is applied to both the substrate and the back of the material that is being applied to the substrate. Thank you for considering this tool for your project needs.

Q:Is This a good Trowel for 3"X6" Ceramic wall tile?

    Answer This Question

    A:  yes, a good tool

    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Trowels are good for whatever mastic or adhesive you plan on using. Usually the product will recommend the groove or notch size. This product is great for adhesives and some other mixes but not with morter's which require a thicker set. Use the mfg suggested application. It's a fine trowel and if cleaned after use will last but also not so expensive it can't be replaced if you let the glue dry to it and time is money.
