The 3/4 in. x 18 in. Apollo Expansion PEX Corrugated Stainless Steel Water Heater Connector with Ball Valve is designed for the fast and simple installation of hot and cold water lines to water heaters using Apollo Expansion PEX connections. After applying pipe thread tape to the MNPT nipples on your water heater, thread the FNPT end of the Water Heater connector onto the tank and tighten with pliers. Then simply make the final connection to Apollo Expansion PEX pipe or comparable cold expansion tubing using Apollo Expansion PEX sleeves or comparable expansion-type sleeve or ring (all sold separately) and your water heater is connected. The integrated quarter-turn ball valve is factory crimped and allows for simple flow control.
  • No-kink corrugated stainless steel construction guarantees maximum flow rate even in tight radius bends
  • 18 in. length provides maximum functionality
  • Ideal for potable water and hydronic heating applications
  • Listed by IAPMO and listed to NSF 61
  • Meets UPC, IPC and cUPC standard requirements
  • Corrosion resistant stainless steel construction for greater longevity
  • Meets or exceeds ASTM F1960 standard
  • Constructed of lead free dezincification resistant (DZR) brass and stainless steel for superior reliability and strength
  • Cold-expansion tool (sold separately) is required for installation
  • Must secured in place using Apollo expansion PEX sleeves or other PEX-A expansion sleeves/rings
  • Rated to 200ºF and 200 psi
  • Go/no-go gauges are never required
  • Compatible with PEX-A Expansion Pipe. Item is not compatible with PEX-B pipe, crimp-style (ASTM 1807) or pinch clamp (ASTM F2098) piping systems
  • Larger internal diameter of Apollo expansion PEX fittings results in a 25% greater flow rate within the system

Great product but hard to find
This is a nice water heater connector. It worked as we expected with PEX expansion. This kind seems more sturdy than the kinds that have the rubbery middles. This one stays in the shape you want when you bend it.
