A:  A quality brush.

A:  I tried a regular brush and foam one. Big waste on time. I used the lambswool large applicator and poured the polyurethane on the floor and just spread it around in no time. It was worth the money in time and quality. Soak it in mineral spirits to use for the second coat if not done within 3 hours.

      A:  You may try and clean it with mineral spirits but, I believe, this will change the texture of the wool which will in turn change the coverage texture when applying the poly. I purchased a new one for each coat I put on the floor.

        A:  Manwax said to use mineral spirits and it worked well. If you are going to apply another coat, put it in a zip lock bag.

        A:  Cleaning the applicator will depend on the liquid you applied. For water-based products, clean up the tool with dish soap and warm water. For solvent & oil-based products, clean up the tool with whatever solvent is recommended on the can (usually mineral spirits or something like that). Thanks,

          A:  I do not believe this product can be used more than once. You can try and clean it using mineral spirits but, I believe, this will change the texture of the wool. I purchased one for every coat of oil based poly I applied.

              A:  I use this tool for staining wood. You can used over many times with the same stain It would be best to use separate tools for different color stain or other products.

              A:  Yes - if it is cleaned thoroughly (soap and water for latex products, mineral spirits for oil products) it can be reused.

                Fantastic product!
                I have a room with wood floors, wainscotting on the walls and ceiling and chair rail. I had to stain it all and apply polyurithane. This product made it so easy! I applied both things using this and it went on beautifully! The only complaint is a small bit of fuzzies coming off but not enough to bother me. I have bought four of these.

                  Product worked better than expected
                  I used this for staining oak wood floors. I had originally used another product and tried this product after 40% of the job was done. This lambwool applicator lasted until the job was done and it was still in great shape. I put several coats over and over, more than 500 sq ft. Worth the money definitely. Wished I had used it for the whole job because it gave a more even application with every stroke. I even used it to stain the doors also. I have bought 3 more since then for other projects. Dave

                  Leaves lint everywhere and ruins stain
                  Absolutely terrible. Used it to apply polyurethane and it left small pieces of wool embedded everywhere. Absolutely terrible product.
