Questions & Answers

How often do the batteries typically need to be changed?

Asked by whinniekins February 12, 2021

If you sign up for water for life, where they auto-ship replacement filters every 6 months, new batteries are included. I highly recommend the water for life program.

Where is this system manufactured?

Asked by Kush February 1, 2021

My current filtration system needs to be replaced. The refrigeration icemaker and water faucet are also connected to it. Can your system also be connected to the refrigerator with the existing line?

After changing the filters we has a few seconds of blue colour water. I shut the tap off, and removed the filter and inspected all looked ok, so I reassembled. Is it normal to have this happen. AQ-5200R Thanks R

Can I use an alternate faucet with the filter that matches my sink faucet?

Asked by HoMi November 16, 2020

Yes. We did the same thing.

Does the faucet spout rotate side to side, or is it stationary?

Asked by Cheryl the DIY enthusiast November 9, 2020

Do you have a bathroom filter set also

What is the flow rate (GPM) on the 2-stage under counter filter?

Asked by Stingray Al October 25, 2020

That is  a hard question to answer. Depends on your water pressure thats coming in to the house. Not every house is set to the same pressure. the best way to answer your question is that you should be getting between a 1 to 2 gal a min.

Leaking red cartridge, caught on camera!
Product instructions are clear, and the installation went smoothly. I added teflon tape to the plumbing joints to ensure those won't leak, but otherwise went by the book. The red canister leaks from the very top, where it connects into the main unit. I was even able to catch it on video! From reading the other reviews here, it looks like some people have had the same issue. Otherwise, the filtration is fine. The pressure seems good. And the faucet itself meets my expectations.

Faucet Looks Great. But Poorly Manufactured.
Flow is quite weak. (The regular kitchen tap has very good flow.) The top of the faucet jiggles in place. It is not secure or fastened well. Faucet has started to drip repeatedly as well. These faucets cannot be repaired, - or at least are not worth repairing as it would cost multiple times the cost of replacing it. Any plumber will tell you that. They must be replaced. I'm switching to a Moen. Better quality and reliability.

I replaced a defective water filtration system from another company. The total replacement time to install was less than 15 minutes. I have only had the product for a few weeks but I am very satisifed at this time.

Yes. Try this...
I have community water. I bought the 2 stage system. My drinking water only. It is as good as any bottled water. I really enjoy my water now.

Significant Improvement Over Previous Model
The model was easy to install. Filter change is simple and easy. Flow rate is higher than the previous model. Water taste and quality is always very good. Aquasana is the best system I have ever used.

So far so good (only had it installed a few days ago), this product looks great at my sink counter, and does the trick of taking the odor and scent out of the water. We had a plumber install it and I am glad. The mount underneath the sink doesn't take up too much space. I have not changed a filter yet, but hopefully it isn't terribly difficult. The oil rubbed bronze style blends into my neutral brown toned granite and with the black, bronze and stainless kitchen appliances. I am really glad Aquasana offered this style and color.

Matches our New Sink/Faucet
I looked online for a new system right after we upgraded our kitchen. We had installed new counter tops, a big beautiful granite/composite sink and a real nice brushed nickel faucet. The place is beautiful, but our original clamp on filter (PUR), would not fit the application. After browsing the internet I found Aquasana. I like the Water-for-Life Program which will deliver my filters every six months, and adds a lifetime warranty on the equipment @no charge. The products were easy to install and match our kitchen upgrade.

Easy to install. Clear instructions.
We should have installed the Aquasana system years ago. For far too long we filtered our drinking water with a large, refrigerated container. That meant overcrowded refrigerator shelves, opening the refrigerator door again and again, and a wet kitchen floor under the spigot. Changing the filter every few weeks was a complicated and time-consuming process. Why did we wait so long to switch to the Aquasana undersink filter system? Because I dreaded drilling a hole in our beautiful Corian countertop. But a YouTube video showed how to do that with the right hole-saw. As it turned out, boring the hole was easy and took about 15 seconds. A piece of cake!

Not as nice as previous version
We use this product for drinking water and water used for cooking/boiling. It filters well and the water tastes great. The "instant-off" feature is nice, but not having it would not be a deal-breaker. Compared to the previous version, this faucet feels cheap. The top (curved water outlet part) is flimsy and feels like it will break off before long. The mounting disc at the base of the faucet that sits atop the counter is CHEESY-too thin and not brushed to match the rest of the faucet. The build quality of this faucet doesn't even come close to the previous model. And, it is not as tall as the previous one which is annoying-now only short glasses fit under when glass sits on counter to fill. It is not always convenient to put glasses in the sink to fill! It filters well, but otherwise feels cheap and looks cheap. My hope is that Aquasana will offer a better quality "upgrade" of this faucet. For now, I'll have to live with it because I don't feel like reinstalling the old one.
